I must say, you have remained planted longer than I could have. If I feel a congregation or pastor begins to drain my spirituality rather than allow it to grow and deepen, I move on as I want my financial and spiritual support to be given when it is most beneficial to the cause of Christ. So glad it is looking up for you.
I relate to you sharing of the harassment. Both me and my husband are quite and somewhat reclusive by nature. It isn't that we dislike people, but we require a lot of quite and too much activities in over-stimulating and stressful for us.
Some churches and leaders just can't allow individuals to be as they were created and expect everyone to fit in a mold they have created. I left a church in which a pastor would become irate, loud and aggressive if he was turned down by someone regarding a job or activity.
Suggestion
"The next couple of days later" I would rephrase this to ( A couple of days later.)

This is really interesting and has great insights about what is going on in the church and your feelings about changes that should be made. Your remarks about Louise and her car with the hand controls. This is enjoyable reading, but I hope you didn't lay all this on the pastor. Short and sweet would be the way to go, and you can make your point without all the details. Don't overwhelm him with more than he can take in about so many issues. What I'm trying to say is this is fine for purposes of a memoir, but I suspect the recipient of a letter would want things shorter. judi Update: I notice that this is more about your church concerns. You would think that members of the church would be more supportive and understanding, especially when it came to the fuss over your retirement from playing for church services. I notice you capitalize a few words that don't need capitalizing, like restaurant and bride. judi

Hi, well he did not get most of this. There is more I could say and maybe I will add as to our relationship with the pastor. Good man andn all that but now he has just turned 65 and is in bad health and should have retired but we can't get anyone else! Not all his fault but the buck stops at the top most of the time. Thanks for the review.

Fixed one spelling error you pointed ot that we actually agree on programme is how we spell it here except for the 'plethora' of lazy spellers who would agree with you. I added some more for some solutions that came about from my letters and meetings if you wish to look again. You were correct on tendency!!
