A very true saying with this Haiku...
The spring renews and refresh that which was dead in the plants and etc..
Good luck in the contest!

1a haiku is suppose to paint a picture of nature during a moment in time and this poem does all this. I live by the sea so this picture is vivid to me.

A nicely designed 5-7-5 poem fit for display in this spring competition, the artwork is a superb art choice, it is an excellent entry in the contest, beautifully worded work, should do well! Blessings, Roy.

This is the opposite view of spring. Bi-polar in nature. Fear, that is unique in itself. Most people would be talking sweet nothings ans smelling daisies. That the reason I like it. I would hav enot thought about fear. The negative impact of spring, melting glaciers. Good tactics, this is a contender. shalom ...

spring warming resumes
sun-scorched coastlines seek relief
cooling waters rise
beautifully written. . .and yet, subliminally discomforting
not the imagery you wrote, but rather the way it hints at
unintended consequences. The spring melt has always
been cause for joy - fresh water flows to nourish the spring
planting - but by using resumes instead of begins
you remind us of its escalation. . .and the inevitable flooding.
(Parts of Europe are literally being washed away!) Like you,
although I enjoy the vibrancy of springtime's bloom, mostly,
I feel under the skin fear.

Holy jumpin' Jesus, Mikey. You're quite the contest machine, aren't you? But, when you're as successful as you are at winning them, why not? Just more 'funny money" for the old bank account, 'ey?
A global warming advocate too, I see. Our climate has been undergoing massive shifts in weather patterns and temperatures as long as there's been...well -- weather patterns and temperatures. It's nothing new, no massive carbon footprints are about to wipe out all of mankind, or life as we know it. A-h-h-h, but polar shifts, that's a different story altogether.
Best of luck to you in the contest(s)

I like this poem. Follows all of the rules of the haiku. My favorite line is "spring warming resumes." It is simple but very scary as if we have no control. Thank you for sharing so much in so few words.

Perfectly penned. Not shoving this down anyones throats. Just simple intelligent insight delivered gently. That makes this so powerful as the meaning becomes clear. A true haiku in everyway. Good luck. This is a strong entry. Has my vote! NG

Fabulous photo to suitably accompany your dramatic warning in words, mystery writer.
Top 's' alliteration and sounds throughout.
Excellent.
Best wishes, Ted
