Hi Debbie,
great message to not whinge about the end result if you haven't bothered to participate... and then I could I read it another way, but it had to do with erectile dysfunction and why we are turned off from voting for anyone... the lack of appeal that leaves us cold to the notion... either way, I hope your vote counts and the right people gain the power... we are in need of true leadership.

With our thoughts we create,
a privilege,
James xx

Hi James, dear friend. I thought about the erectile dysfunction as I wrote this, since we are constantly bombarded with such commercials. Our politicians are always involed in affairs and sex scandals, so I don't think they have that particular problem. Good to hear from you. I hope and pray you are feeling better. Debbie xx

I don't understand why we have such low turnouts on voting days. It's really sad. The elections effect all of us. You have written a very wonderful poem on a very important subject.

Terrific! Election dysfunction.

Voting is critical. Many who don't seem to be the ones who complain the loudest. In what direction this country heads is directly attributed to the voting process, no matter to what degree.

You are so right. It seems those that don't vote always complain the most. But sad to say the voters really don't have a voice anymore. The politicians seem to be out for them selves, the benefits, the raises. Its sad. Happy Mother's Debbie Terrie

Hmm. Nice senyru.

However, it does not apply to me.

I voted yesterday.

In regards to having Republicans rule everything - it's happened in my state and, things have definitely changed --- for the worse. JW

Debbie, this 5-7-5 has perfect syllable and line count and has the ironic and truthful conclusion that speaks so loudly to those in our country who do not vote. Well done. I had to go to your profile page to access this write. I do not know why I did not get in in my messages. :0 GracieAnn

failure to vote
yet complains about results
'election dysfunction' << Excellent name for it!

You make a very good point here! I have found a LOT of people who love to complain and then say their votes don't count so why bother? Or some are just too lazy to go vote, thinking lots of others feel the same dissatisfaction and will vote for them. So there are never enough voters. It should be at least 90% all the time, but we're lucky to get half to vote.

Well Debbie, you got right to the point and collected all your senses and delivered an excellent piece of poetry or senryu.
Re: actually I enjoyed your complimentary authors notes and your poem that was very inventive and creative and showed your resourcefulness. It's also good to be pertaining to the voting of prompts and contest voting. Especially when it comes to being tied. Thank you so much for sharing this with others and may the Lord be with you always.

Yes, it is voting season again. And you are right , it is a time when we can make a change , but , only if we get out of our houses and cast our ballot. Well done Senyru. :-) Carolyn
