Hi Debbie, As for the ants... I already have had some and had to get rid of them. I hate it when they are on the sink or cupboard. Or, as your picture depicts, on any food, being rhubarb or something else. I am always saying,"don't leave anything on the counter, and make sure you wipe up any mess. I don't want ants! It does me no good.I have "friends for life."
Thanks for sharing. P.S. They can stay in their mess hall, and I will stay in mine. chow

I am so sorry to be late on this review. This is yet another great installment for the month of April.
Debbie, I know you have written far more than thirty poems this month, you just have not chosen to add each one to this book. I admire your tenacity and talent.
Have a great weekend, watch out for those ants in the mess hall. :-) Carolyn

Don't worry about being late. I am so very far behind. I did finally finish my 30 poems, but not quite in 30 days. I have been going through my past poems and essys and have done almost 300 in the past year. Maybe that I why I am chronically tardy. Thank you, my friend~Debbie

Debbie, this is a perfect line and syllable haiku. The progression from each line to the next is a great build up to the ah-ha moment at the end. Well done! :0 GracieAnn

Yep! It's time for those big black ants! I found one last week, checking out my kitchen sink.
a line of black ants march (marches) - line would be considered singular here; may be better as 'black ants march'

You are so right. I forget that 'line' is singular and 'ants' are plural. Keep reminding me. I'll maybe fet it someday. Hugs, Debbie

This is sooo clever! Yes, I can just imagine them as soldiers... and what better mess hall than a kitchen like mine, covered with crumbs? :)

I don't find much humor in short poems. Yours is a delightful exception.
This will be my last review this evening. It is good to be able to go to bed with a smile on my face!

Debbie, I really enjoyed this read. It's very cute and funny. I think at some point in our lives we've all had the march to the mess hall in our kitchens. LOL. Excellent read. Judy
