both stanzas of your poem are in good syllable count and you do a very effective job of showing this same situation from two contrasting perspectives - how sad that the child's father fails to appreciate his efforts the way his mother does - one can easily see the clueless dad's misplaced priorities

This one made me smile ... :)
You managed so nicely to make the child's voice loud, clear - almost perplexed. In doing so, you also highlight the eternal Venus/Mars paradox that exists between men and women.
Hope you're having a great weekend, Bill! Best wishes for the contest.

p.s. Not sure of the rules of this form - is punctuation permitted?

This is a great poem of two stanzas. I absolutely love the idea behind this one. Then the greatest line..."tape it to the fridge, and get me another beer."

Cute and so true in most homes. I like the clever way this is presented with the child's picture. You have done the sedoka style well. Good job!

A delightful way to show two different ways of
appreciating art. I can't help leaning toward the
father's very practical approach to the situation.
Well done.
And best of luck with the voters.

Very will captured here in this Sedoka the likely conversation around the child's art work efforts - and certainly in a lot of homes the 'fridge is my gallery'.
