A beautiful write in rhyme. Great choice of words in your descriptions. The ending couplet is excellent. An enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing. Bob

Debbie, it is true. Reflecting on the flight, the grace, and the beauty of a butterfly makes us feel as if we could fly along side. Beautiful mental imagery with a-b-a-b rhyme for the most part. Nicely penned. :0 GracieAnn

Lovely, Debbie. Who doesn't love butterflies? They live such a quiet, simple, beautiful life, short though it may be. From sweet flower to sweet flower, stopping only to rest their wings, hoping we don't grab them. I have a sweet tooth... think I'd make a happy butteffly. :)

Debbie, I enjoyed reading your poem very much And I found it to be very inventive and creative. Also I felt very illuminative and stimulated by the feeling of flight is if I would spread my own wings. Your resourcefulness and cleverness major imagery effective enough to make me feel like I could fly. Thank you for sharing and posting this bothers a May the Lord be with you always.

I will never view a butterfly the same again. Each lovely creature that I see, I will think, 'there goes my Debbie.'
Just beautiful, rhyming quatrains and ending couplet.
Love, Carolyn

A beautiful tribute to the beauty of butterflies. their colors are appealing, bright, and noticed. They usually bring joy to all who observe them. the sight of them brings
excitement and sounds of glee. A gift from god to the universe. I like the structure and the choice of words. The photo is relevant and pretty.

You did a lovely job with this poem, Debbie. I love the picture and the color on the background of black is quite lovely. I can relate to this, as I used to dream about flying. All I would have to do is jump and flap my arms a bit. If I wanted to go higher, I would pull up my legs and kick downward. Up I would go. It's a lovely thought, but not very practical, I'm afraid. I love this poem about flying like a bird! When I was a little boy I used to dream about flying above the earth safe from all the dangers below, beautifully described, I could almost feel myself rising from the ground and gazing on the sights below! Well done, Debbie, blessings, Roy.
