The weeping willows are as beautiful as your poem. You captured me with this poem. It flows smoothly and the rhyming scheme is on target.

Debbie, you have succeeded in creating a strong word image to match the picture image. Strong word choices with vivid juxtaposition of winter and summer. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

I love water pictures

I love these lines:

Against the deep blue painted sky
Fluffy white clouds are floating by

altogether, a soothing piece

In reading this very descriptive poem and looking at the picture, I almost wish I could take a short vacation to this scene - before all the work warm weather and summer brings.

Thanks for sharing this. JW

You captured the beauty of the greenery perfectly. I can't wait to see it in person, it can't be soon enough. The picture compliments your poem perfectly. Thank you for sharing and keeping our hopes up that spring will arrive eventually. Terrie

Again you surprise us with great choice of rhyming words... reflects and expects make a terrific pair.

I despise weeping willows. Have/had two in my yard (came with the house.. I know better than to plant the darn things). They lose HUGE trunks in storms and cost a fortune to have cut up and hauled away. We are down to one willow with two trunks left. They'll blow over too. The wood is very weak and brittle. They are so big that it would cost 1000 bucks to have one cut down and taken away, so we do it a few hundred bucks at a time when forced to by Mother Nature.

They are beautiful, but not very hardy. There are almost none in this area anymore. I had a tree cut down 10 years ago--$850.00. Glad you enjoyed the rhymes~Debbie

What a lovely poem. My weeping willow died about 2 years ago and I really miss it's presence. Your description of the serene surroundings are beautiful, even without the picture I would be able to visualize. :-) Carolyn
