After all the blah, blah, blah that hits our brain to get cracking with the weeding, inside and outside the mind, finally it is time to start the cleaning and clearing process, :)).
Yes, we need to weed out the unnecessary and delete the rubbish data in our minds and have a clear mind with a strategy and goal. Weeding and then planting a rosy garden in our mind can do wonders.
Great stuff you have written. Refreshing and i am going to do the weeding and rubbish clearing too. :))
Cheerio, hugs, Ritchie.

Sounds to me like you are doing some real introspection and that is something we need to do once in a while.
I'll pluck tainted thoughts from my brain
and weed the garden of my head
sow seeds of happiness instead
Loved these closing lines that show the cleaning was effective

My head is dead so not even weeds grow there, Teresa. ;-)
A fun read, in excellent metaphors, about how you overcome negativity.
Best wishes, Ted

Great idea to compare a cluttered mind with a neglected garden. I love this, " and weed the garden of my head/ sow seeds of happiness instead " amen to that! Great artwork to pair it with also.

Teresa, this is a unique and fresh in comparing our thoughts than need purging and it is up to us to weed our "garden" lest the good thoughts get choked out. Well done. :0 GracieAnn

Catchy title, especially for this time of year when thoughts turn to spring cleaning and gardening. The simile of being like a garden in need of weeding is well executed. Excellent closing and something to ponder--

great choice of illustration
very effective use of the garden/weeding imagery to convey your message about your state of mind
good proximate rhyme of weeding/cleaning
good alliteration in sow seeds in this inspirational/motivational poem
Brooke :-)

I enjoyed reading this poem Teresa. I think maybe you have hit on something we all need to do. I can say...at least I do. Nice alliteration with tainted thoughts. Great last line.
Blessings

Teresa,
What a fabulously expressed poem! I love the garden analogy - it works amazingly here.
Glad you're all tidied up and ready to "spring"!
