This was nicely written, Mary. The only thing I would change here would be the word 'me' on the last line in reducing to just one.
Sometime we find a place that we are totally at home with, and it seems this was one of them.
Good write, Mary.

Hi RG, Thank you so much for your review, and your suggestions. I appreciate it, but I actually prefer my last line because it emphasizes how I feel, and it rhymes. Mary

Yes, I see the point, mary. Sometimes, I believe emphasis is more important than structure as I also do the same within my writing if the need be.
    Best wishes,
    have a great day.

There is nothing like a place with connections to a time of renewal and peace. This place is clearly your connection to happy times. Revisiting triggers those memories of good emotions. It's a human thing, that connecting to place. The cliffs by the sea give you feelings of freedom. Birds, water, sunny skies, wide horizons....as you say you were shown the beauty of nature. Cahore by the Sea...nice name; lovely poem of renewal.

A wonderful poem describing one of those special places that resonate and warm our spirits. Rolling, passion, magic, lifting, these words bring this poem to life and capture your love for it.The painting is lovely. Cheers Judester

Thank you for sharing the quaint village in Ireland through your painting and your words. I felt transported by your rhymed couplets in these quatrains. How fortunate you were to find this special place. Cheers- Joan

Hi Mary,
I wish I had a six just for your art... it really added the flavour to the story of where you were able to be you... love the descriptive tones and the haunting music that accompanied the magic of your words... what did you say? There was no music? Ah, yes there was... I heard it all the way through... it would have been really grand with a pint or two of Guinness.

With our thoughts we create,
the moment and time,
James xx

A great review, James, I am glad you enjoyed my poem and artwork. Thanks for your kind comments. I used to have a pint of Budwizer sitting on the hilll in front of the Strand Bar in the painting. My DAd had the pint of Guiness Mary

Good use of the aabb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good alliteration with then/the...awareness/appear...was/wanting...can/clearly. Good eye catching photo followed by a clear message.

A moving poem of self discovery, such a pity your painting does not show well on my screen. The final verse has a wonderful last line but I would prefer "felt THE beginning" in line 2 and you need to drop an "I" in the 3rd line so it reads "yet I still can clearly see". The meter seems slightly off to me, though apart from that second last line, I cannot find exactly where. I enjoyed your poem, but feel it could have been better. How do you pronounce "Cahore"?

Hi Paddy, I agree with you it did need some editing, and I am grateful to you for pointing it out.
I am sorry you cannot see my artwork, Is this a normal problem with your computer, or is it just mine?

You have a very Irish name any connections.

    Cahore, CA-Hor.
Thanks for your review I appreciate it. Mary

Thanks Mary, only an Irish grandfather but, I have visited Ireland and I do love them. Not sure why your painting is fuzzy, other artwork, from FanArt for example, is fine.
