So typical of the way a child thinks! Good syllable count. Weren't you lucky that "Abracadabra" had five syllables? I have two great granddaughters under the age of three who are a constant amusement with their comments. Thank you for this 5-7-5 that reflects a child's outlook.

This is cute & funny on several levels. I love the expectation of the word "please" and it doesn't end up that way at all. I also love the photo. The demanding tone sounds just about right for this age. Thanks for sharing & good luck in the contest.

Funny, and yet that was a completely honest answer from a five or six year old child, who knows about real magic. Well done it is a complete short tale in 17 syllables.

Very cute 5-7-5 depicting the ways children out smart us. If the word works for magicians, than why not for me? Also, Mom did ask for the magic word, not the polite word.LOL

Your 5 7 5 poem has the correct line and syllable count per line. I could see her now as she replied with her hands on her hips. Best of luck.
