Your haiku about knowing when the season will change is very good, we in PA say that when we see a robin.
You have your required 3,5,3 syllables.
Good luck in your writing.

How beautiful and hopeful is that. Nice write and staying within contest guidelines of 5-7-5. Your picture accents your work well although your words paint the real picture. Good job:)

Good alliteration in the first line with cardinal's contrast. It would be a wonderful sight to see such a contrast that tells you spring is near after such a harsh winter.

Yes, truly ... hope. Your haiku expresses this hope in a beautiful manner. Visually, and with your words, this is a great artwork. Visually and heartfully, I felt your poem!

This is a lovely haiku - very optimistic write. And the picture of the cardinal (I've never seen one) is lovely. A very appropriate poem for the season and a good entry for the contest. Good Luck - Dorothy

Your beautiful poem and picture gives me a touch of the spring fever. The Cardinal is our State bird here in Kentucky and I see many of them each day at my birdfeeders. Very well done and I wish you good luck. Bill

A messenger bringing thoughts of the coming spring. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good read.

I just love the photo of the red cardinal against the bleak winter background. It certainly amplified the message you intend for the readers to receive. Yes, the hope of spring is not far behind. I enjoyed your poem.

What a beautiful and welcoming greeting for spring. A cardinal with its red plum definitely sparks a color of hopeful warm weather. Best to you in the contest. Rubylou
