This is all too common. My wife watches a crime channel that has to be 75% exactly like this. The meter shift is to create a kind of short stop, right? Love all this free education. So Irish of me. I sat in on all my first wife's classes at UCLA and got a free education too. What a leech! mikey

Another in the tug of war saga, and much to wonder, or indeed, ponder about.
I like the image and the heaviness of the first stanza. It then levels out into the interplay we have al come to know at some stage in our lives.

I love this sonnet, you say it is not personal, But it is obvious you know a woman you describe a particular type of woman. with having two cats and bric a brack.
A poem well written, it is also humorous to read.

Surprised to find you two would share a ditch
And not a cozy condo by the sea?

Love works so much better in circles than in triangles. Too many sharp points in the latter. Someone is bound to get hurt. You inject just enough vitriol into this to make sure that there can be no doubt that you write of a crime of passion, not just cold-blooded murder.

this is very well written, marillion, how sad that so many people leave the ones they're married to in order to have an affair with someone who offers a flash in the pan. then wonder why the one they left goes crazy
