I love looking at the sky at night and it is so vast. You describe the awe inspiring feeling and caught our smallness very well. Excellent end rhymes and rhythm in your verse.

Plain and simple. . .yet elegant in it's message.
The vastness of the universe - gorgeous to contemplate
and contemplatively vaste!
And we just specks among it :-)

Nice write :-)

Oh yes, we are just specs of dust in this mighty huge universe. I enjoyed this contemplative poem. I would describe your rhyme scheme more as aabb.

But what a magical view from Earth below.
The universe is indeed so massive and filled with so much knowledge we may never know or comprehend but on a clear, starry night so much beauty is there to behold.
I accept my miniscule size but will forever be awestruck when I gaze upon the night sky.

I enjoyed your rhythmic, rhymed couplets and their capturing the immensity of the universe in so few words! Your presentation is a wonderful complement too. Cheers- Joan

Hi Tom
Been super busy w/ a trip to the Florida Keys and company here. I've missed reading your poetry! Loved this one - as usual - and it brought up the same emotion I get when I gaze across the ocean.
Universe vast.
Humans small.
But loved
So loved
By God!
Thank you so much for sharing your talent and stirring emotions in this one human!

Well-penned thoughts of the universe;
"planets like Mars"
"billions of suns";
These are just a small portion of the wondrous celestial bodies which make up the vast, vast universe;
Who really knows for certain what lies beyond.
Excellent, Tom!
A pleasure to read.
