You've cornered the market on "cute"in this poem. First you use a great device in a five year old's voice. He can say so many cute things eg "a big boy you will now be
even a little taller you will see", that a narrator can't do so well. Then you throw in all of the fun stuff like icecream, and cap it off with a cute puppy. I'm crying at this point. So, your poem is just that; a good kid's one because it meets them where they like it. Great write for the prompt.
