I had to smile at this post. I grew up with a black Great Dane, Duke. Now Duke drooled, a lot, my mother solved the problem by following him around all day and wiping his face with a washrag. Now I look back that was a funny sight to see. Duke was a great dog and provide my brother and myself with great times and memories.
I enjoyed reading your post. It flowed and it's great to see how other's lived.

Alas, my life-long notion of visiting Down Under will almost certainly go unfulfilled, but your description of the people and the place has heightened my interest.

I read your auto biographical account of your life, what an interesting life you have led.
My daughter had a similar experience when she completed her music degree a the Adelaide conservatorium, she taught flute, but holidays, no income Her husband was a student who attended uni each day, and then he worked at the kidney foundation at night. My daughter attained a Education degree, and the went into classroom, full time, so that took care of that!i really enjoyed your write, very riveting, I enjoyed it very much, Geoff. Blessings, Roy.

Ha! The mobile home photo is a nice touch! Your writing is smooth as glass now. I see what folks are talking about when they say conversational style. It just means smooth and with humor thrown in at just the right moment and details just when we want to hear them. I'd say just another way of saying good. I know there are a great many "conversations" I've had that put me to sleep!! Great stuff and about time too. mikey
