Be interesting to live in homes where you taught.

Sounds like you struggled some on Weight Watchers.

Interesting thought about Daffie and her formaldehyde.

Six weeks a long time for school breaks.

I presently own a Daniff, a mix between Great Dane and Mastiff. My inseparable shadow. A rescue who spent 14 long months cooped up in a crate before I rescued him.

God bless you for saving your doggy and I bet he loves you to bits for saving him. Thanks for coming through these oldies. Not sure any rewards left on these, sadly. Daffie was a unique person, an old English lady.

You did move about a lot. It is interesting the way you tell about the characteristics of some of the people you lived around like Daffy. I think you had a very keen sense of smell as the memory of odors you came in contact with seems to have made a big impression. It isn't something that usually stays with me except for an aftershave of a guy I was in highschool with. I could smell him long before I saw him.

Yeah well the opposite is true with me, hearing me before they saw me. Thanks for coming by this. I can't remember if it was promoted, yet, but hope so. I have just returned to cream shaves and after shave as it was getting hard to find replacement blades for the electric shaver.

Sankey,

You've penned another brilliant chapter in the book The Little Dog That Wouldn't Let Go. You must have the gift of perfect recollection as your stories are always pregnant with precise details. Your creativity shines through in your talent for writing compelling and engaging stories the reader can easily relate to. Well done.

All the best,

Eugene

Thanks very much Eugene. My father, with all his faults, was a creative man and in some cases he has passed that ability down to his youngest son, me.

Excellent job again. If I were to make a suggestion it would be to look for opportunity to use dialogue. It doesn't have to be word for word. But that will bring the scenes alive vs telling us. Great job again overall.

This might be an idea. i can think of quite a bit of dialogue with Daffy if I bring it to mind. She was a real character. The owner of the picture has given this personal copy to me.

You are really are a nomad, now with Louise and her love for adventure, you are quite the pair. It seems you make all kinds of friends and acquaintances along the way. Is there anyplace in Australia unfamiliar to you? You have reported on the scenic beauty so well as one who loves both the land and the people.
Always my best to you both,
Sally xo

Thanks for coming through Sally. Hope the rewards were still on. Keep looking at Tootsie55 Our Trip Book if there is any you have missed. Sorry the rewards are all gone now. Mainly using any funny money we get from over there to do a final final Revive if appropriate or just a review in here as I get ready to publish this. Sallyo (Sally Odgers) another Sally and fellow Aussie from our Island State of Tasmania will hopefully be my publisher.

The stories go softly and seriously in a realistic approach, plot development is smooth, flow of thoughts like cultural transformation, autobiographical mix in totality, and diversity in living; well said, well done. Write to inspire, change -- DR ALCREATOR

A good chapter in your book. We learned about your nomadic days, and how you moved through several placements, and why you had to move on. The doctor you lived with became a lifetime acquaintance.

Great job, my friend,
Rhonda

There are people I think I've fanned, then come to find out, I haven't. Funny how that goes!!

NOt being familiar with Australia, I copied a map. Actually it was fun. My goodness Australia is a big country. Describing the rooms you rented reminded me of when I lived in Vancouver, BC. Everyone rented rooms there. Not so common in Seattle, where I came from. You got to meet a lot of nice and interesting people too.

Thanks for having a look at another chapter. Old Daffy was such a character. I guess you liked the Formaldahyde description of the smells hehe.
reply by Sasha on 31-Mar-2017
Yes, it reminded me of my grandmother's apartment. She had 7 dogs (little ones but they smelled terrible).

Hi Geoff, I don't see a mobile home pic, but a snail. I can't imagine only having to pay $2 to stay somewhere and for a meal. A soda costs $2 alone.

Hi Sis That was back in 1977 I think. 4 years before that I bought my first car as you will remember from my story for $AUD2,370...my weekly wage back then was around $60 something and the car payment was $AUD 66 per month. Thanks for the lovely review.
reply by MelB on 31-Mar-2017
Wow! Hard to believe things were that cheap. When my Grandma was little, bread was 5 cents a loaf.

An interesting continuation of your life story. You write of traveling. I don't suppose your one of those Aussies that go on a walk-about?

Hi mate. IN another account we had my wife wrote about all our holidays we did around Australia pretty well, bw=eofre it got too hard physically. I talk about some of our holidays a bit later if you stay with me. I would love to re-write her book (she does not want to publish even though a lot on here suggested she should) see what happens. Not happy about the lack of support I am getting here I appreciate you though.
