What an absolutely beautiful tribute to little Sophia. What a little angel. I am glad that you had 24 days to spend with this little blessing, and know that she will await you someday.

I love the picture. I love the poem. I lost 3 children before their first birthday. I had so little time with them. I felt like I was the only one that knew and missed them. I assigned them to the loving arms of my parents in heaven. I will met them again some day. Great work. Good luck with the contest.

Was anyone held accountable for the misdiagnoses? My cousin died when she was eight days old. Her heart stopped beating. My aunt said the baby was crabby the day before but she thought she just had an upset tummy so she gave her baby Tylenol and put her to bed only to wake up hours later and discover that she had passed. You just never know nowadays.

There will be a Dr held accountable for her death. Long story short.... The Pediatric Cardiologist saw what was wrong via an Ecchocardiogram but told her mommy & I that she was perfect & healthy and she'd out grow this problem. Exactly one week later she passed away with ZERO warning. Upon autopsy it was found he saw the 2 holes in her tiny heart that could've been treated. Instead he sent her home to die. He will be held FULLY responsible for my Lovey passing. Thank you for the comment n high rating. xoxo

A baby's demise is tragic and heart-breaking but when you know that she is in the Father's hands in Heaven you know that her guardian angels will bring her comfort.
But unfortunately, you did not stick to the rhyming scheme.

Thank you for your nice comment & rating. I apologize but I wasn't aware there was any particular scheme other than to simply rhyme. Sorry if I misunderstood?

This was a well written poem. The poem reads well, and was very heart warming. This poem is a wonderful tribute to Sophia. The poem speaks for itself. Nicely written.

A beautifully-written poem.
'Nobody can understand why so suddenly you left
For only 24 days prior you were Heaven sent'
Almost made me cry... God Bless! Good luck!

A beautiful poem in memory of your sweet Sophia who left too soon. While you may not physically see her, know she watches over you as your precious guardian angel from above. Whenever you see a rainbow know its your dear grand baby saying hello. I'm so sorry for your family's loss, its impossible to fill the void left by a child taken too soon! This poem exudes the emotional sorrow and longing you possess for your darling grand baby. The fact that you included a photo of a baby girl and used pink font for this poem further tugs at one's heartstrings. They saw everything happens for a reason and God has a plan for all of us, but that can be hard to accept when your arms are bereft of child, trust me I feel your pain. Know that Sophia is above smiling down at you and waiting for the moment the two of you can again be in each other's arms! Beautifully written and articulated! Only one who has experienced this loss can write words so poignantly raw as these are written! Well done and good luck in the contest!

You are most welcome! I'm a true believer in signs from above and feel that the universe sends us signs all the time if we only remain open to them! :-) In fact I wrote a whole book about universal signs that we receive from passed loved ones, haven't published it yet though, I'm just waiting to make final changes. I call it "I Made It Through the Rain to Find My Rainbow!" I hope to help others who have suffered losses find some hope that their loved ones are okay and someday they will be okay as well!
