Fascinating. I didn't know that much about the Masons I must admit. Secrecy, hierarchy, initiations, words like that come to mind. The light you shed here is not surprising. Perfectly written as always. Great piece that unearths some truly enlightening information. Loved it, mikey

This work has reached the exceptional level

We all have our own belief within our lives.

We can believe in God or not believe.

We can believe in a heaven or hell or we don't.

Life can be a mystery.

God can be a mystery to many.

Bicpen: it is a mystery. My grandfather wore a Masonic ring with the symbol on it. He never went to any meetings or talked about it, though. He was a strict Episcopalian and can't imagine him in a cult. Good poem to let us ponder. livelyinda

Anytime ... most Mason dont and cant talk about it due to the oathes of death that they take at initiation. The noose and sword upon the nipple relate fear and the duty they are bound under. Many think because it is under a guise of religieon that its ok to be a member but it really is sinister and should be avoided at all costs.

Good use of the abab rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good perfect rhyming with muck/luck. Good alliteration with fraternal/father's...star's/sign...set/square...forty/five...fifty/five...thirty/three...sixty/six. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message.

The poem you have written is not easy to interpret. The Masons are a secretive lot, but if you think of the name mason you thing of a stone-mason. There is a historic connection. The G I think you would assume is for God but also it could be, looking at your symbol, Geometry. This would not tie in with your last stanza - Generative. A subtle yet interesting read - a bit of a puzzle. Perhaps you are a member and know best. Regards Dorothy

Got to admit this one is way beyond my ability to comprehend. Isaiah 14:12-15 came to mind as I read. That passage is known as Satan's "I wills"; and caused him to get kicked out of heaven.

Point taken, about this Masonic cult. I still, confounded by the meaning of the G, WHAT IT REPRESENTS. I'm no Mason but I did purchase a masonic ring from Amazon. Is this a token of the devil, is it a sin, that I display a Masonic ring & emblem G on my finger. Is it roots evil, of witchcraft? Tell me more because I consider myself a christian. Am I a pagan for weaRING THIS IDOLIC RING?

Well ... firstly no true Christain should really be entertaining themselves with Masonic paraphinalia ... the root of Masonary is the occult ... or basically the old Bal worship of the Old Testament era of scripture ... in mordern history it is witchcraft, hence, the calling of it as the CRAFT.

The G actually does stand for GENERATIVE as I explained it is a fertility cult based on sex ... though the ritualistic excercises of the degree brings you under and into the bondage of the satanic influence of the craft or witchcraft elements.

To most people of lower degrees the G simply refers to GOD or a God ... the name of the GOD of the Lodge is kept sectret until initiated into the cult and as it stands is form from three different divinities JAH of the Christian faith BAL of the Old Testament withcraft circle or Baphomite God of Black Magic and ON of the Egyptian sun God. Hence the secret God of JAHBALON.

... it is satanisim at its first degree and though the true font of knowledge of its illumination is not mentioned until higher degrees it is truly an evil bondage of Lucifer now known after the fall as Satan.

No real Christian should be a Mason because the two Spirits are an opposition, one of true light the other of true darkness.

I'm catholic by faith. i read some on wicka, out of curiosity sakes. I thought this was of Pagan origin but I wasn't for sure. I take your word ... I remember when christians made the golden calf in the wilderness and they were with Moses and Aaron. I heed your expert advice of wisdom, thanks bigtime!!!!!

Guess I'd have to be member to appreciate it.
Male "fertility cult" "founded on pride and kind"
doesn't connect with me rhythmically, aesthetically, theosophically (?), spiritually, __ sorry.

I'd share this among the Freemason brotherhood. They might love it.

    Fraternal Father's religion,
    founded on pride and kind,
    celebrated with precision;
    a five pointed star's sign.

    ... try this for rhyme:

    Religieon/Precision
    Kind/Sign

Its a Quatrain built on the 4:3 4:3 foot with a rhyme scheme of abab. That should help you understand the rhymically bit.

With its picture to match its content it's as appealing as American apple pie that should help you with the aesthetically bit.

Guess you really dont know much about the Masonic Religion so its up to people who know to educate you that should help you with your theosophically bit.

Masonic rhymes with Demonic: Lucifer (or Satan) just happens to be the hidden light of the cult that should help you with the spiritually bit.

_sorry dont cut the mustard with this review: I'll tell you why:

firstly I would like to see any other reviews with this low a ranking with detailed explanation as to what actually is wrong with it in the areas mentioned by this so called reviewer ...

... I'd say it was a load of old bollocks if that were the case but I get the feeling there is something at large here more than that ... perhaps it touched a nerve, perhaps your tone deaf and cant hear rhyme, perhaps you dont know the theology of the Lodge, perhaps you dont know what your reading, perhaps you dont have any spiritual enlightenment, perhaps your just toying, perhaps your just bored, perhaps you dont like me, perhaps your jealous, perhaps your not a poet, perhaps you have friends who dont like me, perhaps I gave you a bad review, perhaps your pre menstrual, perhaps your a man thats had a labotomy, perhaps your hoping to give me a labotomy, perhaps someone you love died, perhaps your pet died, perhaps I died, perhaps you never got laid today, perhaps you were having a bad day, perhaps you thought you would be very clever, perhaps you thought I was being too clever, perhapse its none of the above ... cause otherwise I'm outta suggestions.

THANKS FOR THE TWO STARS YOU LOVELY INDIVIDUAL HOW NICE ... I KNOW PERHAPS I'LL PUT IT IN MY BOOK OF BOLLOCKS POETRY ... what a F****** JOKE YOU ARE.
