Excellent Poem! The reader really found the poem thought provoking and questioning. The author's words reflected the theme of this poem well. I so much agree with the last two sentences and pondered on "We choose the path". Your photo is perfect and compliments the poem.

Compliments for honest articulation of human uncertainty. Question refrains, rhyme scheme, and all lines except one of same syllable count hold this together well. I would omit the dashes in first lines of stanzas one and two.

This is an excellent poem about faith which also includes the reality while leaving each individual to the power of choice they possess. Keep up the great writing which glorifies the Master.

Interesting poem and I guess you are right in the overall premise.
I didn't actually find myself considering my own choice of faith though, so much as others choices of faithlessness.
To me, naively probably, life is a simple book of do's and don'ts. Breaking faith with that is what I have seen people do most often in my life.

I really enjoyed your poem about faith. You have described so well putting on the "full armour of God", like the word "burnished". Certainly as we are refined by trials and challenges, the Savior is polishing us. The other impressive image is the sinking structures in the sand with a poor foundation, whereupon if men built, they will surely fail. I especially think it skilled to make it personal with the question "What is mine?" It is one think to observe people of faith, but ultimately, we must all decide and choose who and what we will believe in. Well done.

Scatter the seeds and see where they fall - fertile soil?
Ephesians 6: Armor of God - my favorite
Let the Lord go before you to guide you
Let the Lord go behind you to protect you
Let the Lord go beneath you to sustain you
But most importantly
Let the Lord go beside you to be your FRIEND!
The most awesome benediction!
Peace on the Path!

That is sooooooooooooooo correct. Okay, what was yours? The flip side to the coin, to make a go of it once you've made the choice, otherwise you'll be miserable.

My great friend you left the question open so we could chatter and debate but I know your faith is strong and you do not need the armor. Happy holidays.

We chose the path. That is the problem, Treschiel, I wish we didn't have to, perhaps then there would only be one.
A subject which we will go on trying to answer well into the next 100th millennium.
Good rhetorical question..I wonder if anyone has the answer?
Best wishes,
RG

Excellent!
Well-penned thoughts of decisions made with faith guiding our journey;
Choices today determine tomorrow's outcomes if we trust in God.
Nice alliteration incorporated into a thought-provoking writing.
