Thank you for this wonderful entry. It is surely true that over the years, we make ourselves promises that maybe we hope to keep, but realistically, some of them are so hard. Great job and good luck in the contest.

Very nice - it sounds like me and my perpetual diet! I wish that wasn't true about promises made to oneself, but sadly, it is. Very cogent, concise observations. I also like your picture. Best of luck in the contest.

I don't agree with the poem because I think breaking a promise with oneself is really not a good thing, but since I was not asked to evaluate the thought, I give it a five because it is profound
