This is good wording but is it script writing? More of an essay but I must say very interesting. I am just learning Script writing and know there are several ways to write them. I was just wondering. Blessings to you writer.

Thank you. I just write the words that follow the emotions. If it then fits into a category, OK, but I first try for substance and then find the form.

I agree that you shouldn't always follow a technical formula because it can take the soul out of the write. This was very informative and real

I love your work! Your flow is terrific, your words are so true and meaningful. You've hit the essence of the meaning of words and their usage. Your grammar and punctuation are just fine, and your ideas are thought-provoking. That's all as it should be.

In the paragraph beginning, "As much as I enjoy writing..." your two words, "alsoread" need to be separated.

I have no other issues with this piece. I like what you have to say--keep it up. Thanks for sharing, Jax.

Excellent thoughts on writing. Great suggestion at the end. I agree that a piece, whether it's rhymed, patterned or free verse, or non poetry writing, needs to flow, to enable the reader to feel like they're "walking through" the piece. I also believe writing needs to convey emotion of some sort and should give the reader something to think about. If one accomplishes that, they've accomplished much.

I don't know much about scripts so I'm guessing this in a monologue. Whatever it is, I like it. The title made me curious and drew me in. Like I said, I don't know much about scripts so I don't usually read them, but you hooked me from the beginning and kept my interest every step of the way.

Good narrative voice that carries conviction with gratitude throughout. Words can be such a gorgeous symphony, arranged much like notes to convey emotion and meaning. Excellent metaphor.

I agree with you that the magic of the printed word is challenged, but I don't think it will ever die. There will always be story tellers and those that want to listen.

Your points are clearly presented and well received.

Oh, this is listed as a script. Scripts are mostly dialogue. Maybe, you meant general or philosophical non-fiction?

Write on, you multi-talented people, do not look for the pro-forma story outline, but tell the story to your mirror before you write it down, and it will flow, because then you are the writer and the reader and you will understand.

Truly you are a writer that understands people. It's a wonderful world, that of the writer.

Your opening paragraph is full of sentiment but your phrase, 'the symphony of words redeems all. I supposes our words must be remodeled and re-created over and over again. The paragraphs that follow show how words have their own, intrinsic spirit which need to be respected. Words are truly the music of the writer, that is if the writer has indeed found his/her true voice. What ever the case, we all have a story to tell and it begs to be told over and over again. -Ekim777

I echo your sentiments entirely on the importance of language and words. I have read extensively, I am a linguist, and have assimilated so many words that I can use in my own poetry. But they flow, they are not contrived or forced. Too many people assume you can sit down with a theme and create at the drop of a hat. I have to be inspired by a certain theme or topic, and then, as you write, it flows. My poetry rhymes because the art of rhyming is already lodged in my mind. I wish more people thought as you think, then we would have more genuine writers and poets. You have written very well on this theme. Faye
