The Power Wheelchair is such a great help to those needing it. Crutches are helpful, but harder to use. Those using them tell me that they feel so unstable on them. This is a nice poem!

I have conversed with some great people and known the elite of the elite on personal basics
but you dear friend are a cut above them all. You married for love and you stand tall in the eyes of the Lord. I am very proud to call you my friend.

I have missed you on the site and wondered what had become of you. We all get busy and lag a while as I do at times. It is good to see you back once in a while. Have a good week and stay warm this winter. God bless.

A very well-written poem about independence while disabled is important for the disabled. We need to do some things ourselves and not depending on others for everything.

Well done Geoff, you've done a good job on this near enough 5555 5555 in very deft abab rhyming, and it seems she's probably more mobile than we think, well done Geoff, great post, blessings Roy

Ha Bro a lot less mobile these days. Also having to get an extra service provider for her morning and and night care as the current one is running short of suitable staff. Thanks for coming by.

Thank you for re-sharing this post, Geoff! Are you and Louise doing alright? I would imagine it made a big difference in sounds changing from crutches to a wheelchair.

If you look at my autobiography you will see in the last five chapters this was very early days of many more changes to happen 10 years later. Check out "The Little Dog That Wouldn't Let Go." if you wish. Thanks for coming by. We are doing ok. We had to get another Service Provider to help with Louise's personal care as the current group is running short of carer staff.

Fine bit of whimsy--fresh theme for sure--clever imagery--I appreciate the straightforward statements--I'm not a fan obscure poetry. Thanks for notes. Cheers. LIZ

This is a wonderful poem of how technology makes people's lives better. There is a small little typo in line two, hall doesn't need to be capitalized. So now with her chair she can play hide and seek, since you can't hear where she is hiding now.

Looks like you've got everything rhyming in the right places. Nice poem that shoes the change of events from crutches to power5 wheelchair. These new gadgets sure can be great!
Fitting picture, well done and good luck in the contest ;)

Those power wheelchairs are something else. My 45 year-old nephew has a neuromuscular disease and has been in his chair for over 25 years, replacing the tires many times. He takes those corners like a pro. Bet she doesn't miss the crutches at all. I tried to use them after a heel spur operation and gave up, rented a wheel chair for six weeks.

Hi thanks for dropping by, and the great points. Still has to use crutches getting in and out of bed transferring to wheelchair.
