Excellent words of advice. I made suggestions above to help this read a bit more cohesively and hope that's ok. You words are timely and well chosen. And, might I add, absolutely correct. Wiser words have never been spoken. Nicely done...

This is indeed full of wisdom. The Ancient Greek was right - there is a time to open your mouth and there is a time to keep quiet.

>>Loosely, he speaks in order to get an instant profit, or effect for the time being or temporarily.<< ~ Perhaps it would be best to drop either "for the time being" or drop "temporarily". Written/used together the one makes the other redundant.

At any rate, your post would be a good message for the Tweeter-in-Chief!

I really enjoyed this piece of commentary. It truly is a wonderful read for self-improvement. Your photo with the Plato saying sums up the message so well! What a great choice of artwork to accompany your words.

Very aptly put. So many narcissists our there who speak only to hear themselves, but in reality have absolutely nothing of portent to share. Why bother, if you don't have anything to contribute? We suffer the shallow, self-glorifying buffoons daily. Their only usefulness is that of foil, so that when a genuinely wise man comes along, his words are all the more appreciated. Well written, and oh so true.

I thought this piece was great. You're absolutely correct! "Better to be silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt." One of my favorite quotes. :)

You are describing a very good person without human foibles. I think it is the nature of humans to exaggerate a bit, maybe invent a bit when telling a story, etc, however your premise is a good one and wouldn't it be wonderful if people didn't say things at the expense of others.
Congratulations on your All Time Best.

The least said the better for then it is easily mended when things get out of control. People sometime know all and tell all only to have it come back on them.

This article, If Some Could Tell, seems to point to the Trump administration. The 'truth' pops up whenever profit is on the line. They stab each other in the back to cut a deal.

Very wise counsel. I am sure there isn't anything I could add to it. It's very well written. I can say that well I am still learning this lesson. Thank you for deeper understanding of this concept.

Yes, I agree with you. A wise man knows when to keep his mouth shut and to speak only when he has knowledge to spread. Whereas, fools speak only to hear themselves talk.
