Hi, ElPoetry...
What a fun ride of explanation you give. You're right, too, because I love to take my readers on a ride they'll not forget. As a writer, it's our job to do so, or we've failed to to the job.
Enjoyed this.
Cheers & Blessings

But the writer must know the way to go on the emotions trail today - should it be "emotion" or "emotional"?
this one caused me to stop and think - what have I just read : But the writer must know the way to go on the emotions trail today
If I can be shown what I missed, I will consider a ratings change

Ratings are meaningless to me. I do not seek praise or criticism, just a meaningful review of qualitative content.
If it should be emotions trail, I will fix it now.

I am uncomfortable with your use of the word vicarious. You are surely referring to your identification with the other, be it a character, place, action etc. You are projecting yourself, even your emotions into that which created by someone else. Why not create and display your story? Everyone has a story to tell. It seems you haven't made that leap and maybe you are leaning on the creativity of someone else. Create your own thing but first find your own voice. -Ekim777
This rating does not count towards story rating or author rank.

I am reading a write about reading and writing! How right you are, when reading something you want to be invigorated by it no matter what it is. You want to be drawn in to the world created so you can see what the writer is expressing and then comes the feeling, be it happiness and love or terror and suspicion. A good story always compels you to read more even if it not your usual genre to read, something that captivates you and holds you in its grasp. A good write and expression you have yourself here!

You have interesting views on how people create and write. I like to read between the lines, also, and perceive how the person was feeling and thinking at that particular moment. You have written well and have conveyed your message well. I like to review people's works so I can encourage and praise their achievement, I am sure you do, too. Faye

Thank you. I believe most of us are just writing in our own journal of life, without much expectation of being published in a big way.
Still, it is good to connect with others who speak the language of nuance, metaphor, and subtlety, it adds flavor.

This reads more like a prose poem than a story. Quite evocative and reminds me of both why I love a good read and why I like to write.
Well-done!

Excellent story that tells us, the reader, about we expect of a writer of a novel or a short tale to induce knowlesges about different subjects of life and all the emotions, motivation and suspense of that a particular history must be.
Congratulations.

Sounds like you may have missed your calling as a private investigator or something, if vicarious experiences mean that much to you. :) I read mainly to learn or to escape, but I get what you mean.

FS is a good vehicle for a write like this - captive, motivated audience. I agree with your take on the writer's need to create the emotional journey as they work. Very thoughtful and entertaining work!

I hope you feel that way if or when you read me someday. Loved the short writing with a long message. Just one thing below:
So if you want to motive [did you mean to say, "motivate?")
