The photo makes me want to go there Seken. HOW lucky you are! Wow, and I loved the flow and rhyme to your poem! The one phrase that threw me was the last three words tho. I've never heard that before? But folks talk differently in other countries. Interesting. Craven...I'll google it. VERY nice work. :) A.

Thanks for stopping by to review and comment.
I appreciate your generous review and support.
Craven means cowardly, faint-hearted or spiritless.
The beauty there just raises your mood and the atmosphere
    is so relaxing.

Isn't it nice to be able to write without distractions? The place you described in your poem seems the perfect peaceful place to write poetry! You have nice word choices with haven and craven, ponder and wonder, sprinkles and tinkles, description and depiction. The meter is lovely. Nichola

Beautiful poem with a great imagery. Loved the surroundings and how beautifully you described them... the forest, animals, the nature. One can feel the magic of such place and how it soothes the soul. Great job.

Solitude is different from loneliness and quietness. It is a revelation for us who can find such solitude sipping coffee in a rain forest heritage.
Nature floats by and the sounds of joy all around us and we suddenly realized life can be so beautiful and peaceful - away from the crowds.
Our hearts and minds filled with such pleasure that we will not be craven anymore.
Excellent write and well penned.
Cheerio, hugs, Ritchie.

    Welcome dear.

I am behind at the moment on reviews and will do more as I can see there is one which was a six star write in your profile, smiles.
Have a great day and a wonderful morning with your favorite cuppa.
Maybe grow a few saplings around you house to get that rain forest feeling again at home?
    Cheerio, hugs, Ritchie. :))

Then, as I depart this forest haven,
I no longer hold thoughts that are craven ... LOVE these lines - I know exactly what you mean. I think we writers all have to run away from the press of the world from time to time to re-charge, don't we?

I would have never thought of putting it that way, but 'craven' is the perfect word to express the feeling!

I love the gentle, soothing feel of the nature around you - so very beautifully described.

Thank you Karen for a generous review.
It is in a World Heritage rainforest and the little cafe is right beside the babbling brook and the birds call constantly
as they flit among the trees.Their colours are amazing and it's like a little piece of Heaven dropped right there.
I wrote this poem as I was waiting for the others in my writer's group to arrive.
I'm so glad you liked it.

The beauty of nature can really do that to you. A serenade in the depths of the rainforest by nature's symphony creates peace and clear thinking.
A lovely set of aabb rhymed quatrains in pentameter.

It's been a blessing to sit and ponder,
In this magical place full of wonder,
Then, as I depart this forest haven,
I no longer hold thoughts that are craven

Its so nice of you to think of us at such a beautiful time, that means you are happy to share your feelings with us. I enjoyed also reading your poem, seeing the picture, and writing to you , a hello. Hugs Terry
