Hey M8, do the right thing, put in a bin or in the dump when its operating.

I have had a similar experience, arriving when the tip was shut but, but I didn't dump it at the gate although I was tempted.
Nice story, your mom would be proud of your letters circulating around the town.....I don't think. Cheers M8, Kev

I think in many of those departments where fines can be issued for wrong doing you will always get that ONE over zealous, overbearing, stick up his backside crusader. I'm sure they're employed by their bosses because of their obsessive, compulsive ways.

Yeah as I said they were all looking for greasing of their paws. I was fortunate to have the Public Solicitor to go to bat for me. Thanks for the great review.

Oh my goodness have people got nothing better to do with their time than to hunt people down for such pettiness? But this is what happens when you give small people too much power in life that they would not otherwise have, a poignant and amazing story here, love Dolly x

It's not pleasant to think our elected officials would be guilty of expecting to get their palms greased, but I'm sure many are. It seems rather a minor offense you committed, and I wonder how government has time and personnel to keep track of whether someone has dumped trash illegally. Sounds like community service would have been better than you having to pay a fine. You'd think there were other more important matters they might be pursuing. You showed a spirit of cooperation, which was the right thing to do. Interesting incident. judi

This is a good story to remember. I am glad you did not get fined too much. I guess those officials were just doing their job really. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed reading it. Jan

Hi Geoff, oh, government everywhere seems to be so evil, whether it is local or otherwise. I think it might be less so, if they would just serve their term and get out. It wasn't meant to be a lifelong career.

Yeah Sis as some have said...these ought to get out and get themselves a job. Not sure if this was in my Biography when you read it or still in Geoffrey's Muses. I moved it today after talking with Tom. By the way, I am here for another year as confirmed by Tom I thought I was closer to running out!

I don't remember reading this one before, so it must have not been in biography. Glad to hear your staying for a while!

Well, at any rate it is an interesting and "telling" story about the workings of local council authorities.

They do the same thing here in Germany, especially with people who dump their electronic trash like old TVs, radios, keyboards, irons etc in the original packaging with their addresses stil on. Big mistake!

Ha yeah with their addresses on! Sigh! I did not know all that was in the bags! Just curious did you see this in my biography"Little Dog" or in the Geoffrey's MUses? I just moved it to the biography today as I had been thinking of doing it and others agreed. Thanks for the great review.

Yeah sure does Glad you came by. Was this in my biography or Geoffrey's Muses? I just moved it into my biography on the suggestion of someone after I had thought of doing it myself. Cheers.

A very well-written story about garbage that got dumped at the wrong place. We don't have municipal services for more than two months now and we have to deal with our own garbage. Needless to say, don't dare to put your garbage with your neighbor's pile. Each man for themself.
