Alright this kid is the perfect demon-seed! (Smile). This is composed way too cool and the photo is the absolute perfect match. Well done and good fortune with the contest.

Till the last amen.

Another great job. This poem had just great flow and rhythm. As I was reading it in my head, I couldn't help but read it to the tune of a nursery rhyme. Leander does seem like quite the mischief-maker and you captured it all wonderfully. Good luck in the contest.

Great job. I so rarely find a fellow poet-storyteller. This piece is so wonderful. It really dances between the sinister and playful in a perfect way. The end is sublime. I can see this image with my own children so easily.

I'm now going to look through your portfolio for other rhyming tales. That's almost all I do. Would be nice to have a fellow teller to follow.

Hah! Yeah, I know a few "Leanders" myself, and they're pretty lecherous! Old Lecherous Leanders, we'll call them for conversations sake. You win the lottery, they point out that you're going to lose more than fifty percent of it to Uncle Sam. You buy a new summer home in the Rockies, they'll tell you of a family they read about in yesterdays paper who were mauled in a summer home in the Rockies. Get a new car? No problem, they have all of the recall information on your particular model stored to memory.

Your poem was wonderful, as usual. The rhyming, the message you fun message you convey here, just a wonderfully presented piece!

Thank you, Dean. I have never thought of my baby grandson as lecherous, but what the heck. I'm the one who called him an evil thief. LOL Brooke

LOL, just playin' around, Brooke. Actually, I was speaking of Leander, not Sawyer. I didn't know the poem was actually about him, I just thought you used his pic because of that face, it was perfect, hah-hah!

Oh, just one cross look, Brooke, probably not too many more, this precious child. But the poem is a doozy, that Leander, ha! Nice nature comparisons and great imagination for this interesting poem:)

donna, thank you so very much :-) I just love his wide range of looks. The cherubic ones are great, but the silly ones are even better :-) Brooke

Yes, Sawyer was quite the actor with that one look, ha:) My little Kayelynn is a real character too--she's about two and half.

Brooke, this Share A Story In A Poem contest entry has solid and humorous rhythm from beginning to end. The things stolen are appropriate for the level of a child and makes the reader smile. All the best in the contest. :0 GracieAnn
