Hi Brooke,

This put me strongly in mind of some of Edward Lear's rhymes on a similar theme. Great rhythm to these verses, and some fun imagery in the words.

That picture surely inspired this, that look is definitely one of plotting some naughtiness ...

I love this little boy's mischievous smile......Leander in it.......starlight was her limit.......I just can't imagine the evil but when you couple it with Sawyer's sweet face it is somehow ok. He reminds me of my Grandbaby who I got to cuddle today.....Nothing greater is there :O)
God bless

My God, what a look- a future Bond villain in the making. Stealing spots from butterflies, silver from stars, showers from rain...he's worse than The Grinch. Yep, it's nap time.

Brooke, that is such a fun-filled poem with its message of evil little Leander. I like the flow and musicality of it, and the mechanics, as always, is spot on. That look on Sawyer's face is one for the ages. Are his parents teaching him to play poker? Because that's what I called a poker face, and from the position of his hands, he may be hiding a card, or two. Thanks for sharing a delightful poem and picture!

What a humorously, wonderful, delightful poem this is and written very well, with great imagery. I laughed from the beginning to the end. What a joy. And the picture is so appropriate, what a beautiful treasure.

The structure, rhyme, and rhythm are exhilaratingly appealing.

I didn't see any spelling or grammatical errors.

I read the poem and then scrolled back up the page to the picture and I burst out laughing! Is that our sweet Sawyer? WOW, he does look evil. What a cute poem to go with it Brook. Well done! Nancy

Thank you for sharing this Brooke with your fans, myself another readers/writers. An excellent written poem. The rhyme, rhythm and tempo were all done so perfectly that made it very easy for me to read your poem and to follow it expertly. You disposed to exercise or flaunt dictatorial authority in a way to override any protestation. That is in so many words was singularly you are just masterful in your way did you write. You have a good one in God bless.
AK.
