There is a lot in this chapter. Family issues can be very hurtful and they seem to occur in every family to some degree. It must have been difficult for the family to understand when your mother remarried. It is a shame that you have had a difficult time with your in-laws as this could have been a source of comfort for you both. It would be especially difficult for Louise because it is her family. Great explanation of all that happened. Again, I liked the scriptures used to express the reasons for the beliefs.

Thanks again for your great review. Things are working out better now but still that barrier of our Christian witness and Satan's barriers he throws up all the time. I should have gone into more detail of times we have had family at church and I might do that. Bit of a laugh in some ways. ;(

Hi Sankey, wow there is a lot going on in this chapter, moving from one generation to the next and interlinking everything together. I am intrigued by some of the hints you give about what is going to happen in future chapters/stories. The bible quotes are interesting, I have never studied the bible but had a bit of a look at genesis the other day and will read more when I have time. I'm glad it is such a comfort to you when you get upset by problems such as family conflicts which everyone can relate to. Good chapter, I know I'm reading out of sequence but will get back to the other chapters. Best wishes, Autumn is on the way here, is it Spring/Summer in Oz? Speak soon, Pete :)

Sorry if you told me before I forget these things..I will be 63 in March. We are in officially the first Month of Spring. However, my friend as we are in the end times of this earth and our civilization the Seasons as you would agree are all out of whack, and I am sitting here in what is supposed to be Spring in my Winter jami's and winter Dressing Gown. I remember last Christmas we had a very WET Christmas Day. Normally at that time it is hot. Have I told you about the Web Sites I run? Hi Sankey, I'm 36, I was a Quaker as a child which didn't involve bible readings but did leave an impact on me regarding ideals of peace and equality which I still try to live up to, not that I'm always successful. I am interested in spirituality and as part of my education in such things am interested in reading more of the Bible and Buddhism, Taoism as well. Forgive me if I take some of it with a pinch of salt though. We can private message each other about such things if you want? Best wishes, Pete

I assume the picture is of your mum and dad whe they remarried. Your dad looks very much like my own father-in-law. Some may have a problem with the way you jump from one subject to the next and back but I find it charming. It is though you are actually telling the story out loud and that is the way your mind works. In our family as long as the parents were alive they were always a big part of family gatherings.

Thanks for being my friend and a great help as a reviewer as well. Sorry Beth, that is the Tangent Man in me ok. I originally wanted to go Chronologically through my life but it has ended up being in sections and having to go back in things a bit from time to time. I know the story is basically about me but the other things are a part of my story I feel as well. I guess I won't please everyone in the way it has gone but I am always very grateful for all the help I have had from FS reviewers such as yourself. I have a friend from church who has now joined FS and is one of my reviewers. She is stronger than me in some of her beliefs and has trod on some toes with her convictions. I have told her we have to bury our convictions when we are reviewing some of the stuff in here. So I think she is sticking with my stuff now hehe. God Bless.

Ah! Being young, what a delight.
The world awaits us patiently.
It's just out of our reach and sight.
We grab with lust, and greedily.

Now, is it just stupidity,
to clutch to something warm and cool?
To grasp for women bold and free,
And share them with some wayward fool

That famous road of good intent,
While cluttered with our errs,
provides the handholds for descent,
When falling down the stairs.

Please God, allow us one more chance
Don't give our stunts another glance

there is a poet on here called "Reconciled" that always has a rather big production to go along with his poetry. pretty good stuff really. you might try him. there is another one too I will let you know when I run across him again. loved this chapter. I think the more details the better. there is no rush as far as I am concerned. I know we get in a big hurry here to review and post and get stars and rankings and medals of honor and all that. but when it comes to sitting down for a good read, I am for this. that old testament stuff can get downright scary can't it! sometimes those skeletons in the closet can make a lot of racket. hahaha!! read smoothly to me. can't think of anything to add. a comma here and there that the sticklers will find no doubt. great read. regards, mike

Cut and paste the following into your author notes. It's your Charlie Rich song from Utube.

I went over this again and found the following:

Some suggestions:

-The Mission society that Mum had gone to Africa with for the second time had encouraged her to divorce Dad. They, maybe rightly or wrongly, said it was a bit silly that she had to ask his permission to leave the country since they had been apart for so long but were still legally married. As a result of their opinion, she divorced Dad back in the mid or early Seventies, I think.
-re-married, as I said(,) but he was still my Father(father),
-pecking order, sin in a family, can go.(delete the commas)

Your video came out nicely!

For an only child (ME) of two only children this is one interesting read. I had no idea families were so complicated.

Hey thanks so much for this. Much appreciated
reply by barkingdog on 15-Sep-2013
It doesn't look like you got the URL.

I'll tell you how to do it from Utube.

Go to the video and below it you'll see 'share'
    hit that.
Then some other stuff will come up. See 'Embed'? Hit that.
A box will show now with the script you need to copy. The stuff in it will be blue, ready for you to copy. Hit Control+"C" on your keyboard.
Now go to your Chapter and paste it(Control+V) in to your author notes.
