Hello Sankey, I am sorry to hear this. I can imagine the feeling of being invaded and how unsafe you must both feel. I know the feeling as I have been there. Clear visions are seen in your writing and you write smoothly.
Have a blessed day.

Chilling and an invasion - when a thief is that bold. Right close to where you slept. I can imagine your wife's nervousness after that. And often is it a neighbor kid - convenience. We have had events like that in our neighborhood. Guess one must be vigilant.
Good chapter.

Thanks Gail. I have been slack at times. On several occasions we have gone out to come home and find the front door either wide open or just sitting on the latch, not completely closed, having the horrors the place is cleaned out. However, God has blinded possible thieves eyes on these occasions and no invasions.

We often do this with the big garage door somehow drive off and leave it open - of course then open to the whole house. good think my sis/bro/law live down the street - they call: "did you know your garage door is open - again?? oi vey.
-
yeah that is another one I leave open the roll a door on the garage but no car anymore just a lot of personal stuff.
-
Our garage is separate to the house though.

It has happened to me and I remember well the feeling of being violated and invaded. I have learned in life that God turns everything for good. Doors are opened that might have otherwise never been opened and some of my greatest blessings have followed loss. You might not know until you reach heaven whose life or lives you changed due to your honesty that day. Perhaps a young employee at the Insurance company or the police department was influenced in a positive way by your decision? Perhaps it influenced them to show kindness to someone else or taught them a valuable lesson?
The article is great. No errors noted.
All the best,
Jan

Thanks, dear friend for a great review with some excellent points made throughout. You are right we will find out in Heaven. POssibly one more fraud or I mentioned already about the Air conditioning guy where we were defrauded of $700 paid for another A/c unit we never received. But God was gracious and enabled us to carry on not feeling that loss. I guess it is the fact that all we have is on loan from God anyway. The lovely old song..."He owns the cattle on a thousand hills" and he owns the hills as well!

I'm giving you six on this one, Geoff, because of the vast improvement here. You have tamed your overuse of commas. "Fess up" happily has double-quote marks;, Halleluia! Besides, anyone who would leave a window open and a cash box of $300 on the kitchen counter deserves a break.

They also stole a precious especially sentimental handbag of my wife's from near the back door. - They also stole a precious sentimental handbag
Being robbed is such a devastating thing, especially when it's money or a sentimental item. The Lord will repay and probably already has done so.

Thanks Sis and He has been faithful. Even the fraud over the a/c money we paid, God has gone over and above with that and is blessing as we trust him in our Fath Promise Offerings for Misaions at church. After all, Sis all we have is His on loan to us. Amen!

Absolutely right! We just went over that in my grief group, that even people are on loan to us.

How horrible!!!! I don't understand thieves. It doesn't make sense to me, stealing of other humans. I did enjoy reading your post. Of course, I read it out of order.

A good detailed, true scary story about a robbery....and so relieved you must have been, that at least he wasn't running through your house with a gun, and yes it would of put a fear in me if a burglar entered my house, especially when I was sleeping....I really like the photo you chose as it added nicely to what actually occurred.
Thanks, for letting us know...Caressa_08

Thanks Sis. I also put up the last chapter today my "Geoffossary" I am not sure what other chapters you read but the Chapter prior to this one was a split off a larger chapter. I still need to add some pictures to that. Thanks for coming by let you know when the pictures are on the chapter. All I have to do now is come up with a Foreword as Ron Craig said I may have to do it myself hehe.

My favorite bible verse again . It does take a long time as one feels violated when their only sanctuary is breeched. An excellently written piece for addition to the book

I have been robbed several times and it is so hard to get over. Even with insurance the invasion of your home is something that stays with you. You did the right thing by telling the insurance cmpany about finding the watch, but I must admit, I would have thought about whether or not to tell them too. Very interesting and well written too.

Being robbed is a feeling of violation more than a lot of things, it is very disappointing and is hard to recover, not knowing who the thief, and being aware it could be almost anyone, one starts mistrusting the world, it's a tough thing to escape from, if it was just the "things, it would be easy! Well done, Geoff, blessings, Roy
