Hi Justin, I love what you brought "out of this picture". Because I like photography and am a lover of art, I have to derive my words from a
story within a picture. May I say, you writing is far superior to when I first met you on this site. Oh! by the way excellent poem, you really
opened up the picture and my imagination. Thank you.

Thank you very much Colette. I was actually thinking about a Moody Blues song when I wrote the piece.

This painting has been driving us ALL crazy for months Justin! So glad you found something suitably weird to go with it - loved the psychedelic 'take' on it!

I don't think this is weird at all! Contrarily, it's quite refreshing. I think you could play with the syllables a little bit to help it flow a little smoother, but you have a lot of very creative and unique ideas going on in there, ideas that are very interesting. Read it aloud and see if any changes might help it 'sound' more soothing and melancholy; you've painted an awesome picture with your words, now use them to set the mood for the reader. Or not, just sayin'. And I must mention that it builds steadily to a closing that's pure perfection.

Could read that you were literally inspired by the image. You do give due and proper thanks to the artist of your woman of discontent - perfect words to a perfect image , given the context of our poetic encounter.

Aaah, so this is a poetic take on the world of imagination, the writer or artist's realm where anything is possible and all can be created.

This is a beautifully crafted and wonderful poem. I think your words have done justice to the picture. Every word was perfect. Good Luck.

I did enjoy this very much... wow... it was weird yes, and kind of surreal, but then so is the artwork. You did a wonderful job finding just the right words to represent this art. I love the last part especially "a world created by the external energies of the imagination." Food for thought. If I had a six to give, it would be yours. :) Sandra

Great poem. It fits well with the "The disembodied head"
I see a lot psychedelic stuff here. I am glad I stumbled upon this.
