An inspiring story you've told here in verse....but I think you could've done better with another picture......one with a rose or roses...just a thought..otherwise good job.

Absolutely wonderful. I can see them now, sitting on the bench looking at each other and smiling. He then thinks to himself, my traveling days are over, my granddaughter is my journey. one small edit. -pedal +petal. Lovely Norm, Carolyn

Thanks again. I made the change to petal. I wrote it this afternoon. It is funny. When I finish a poem I read it and it reads great. An hour goes by and I reread it and it is not as good. I really question my poetic abilities.
