This brings back my college days. I was married with a baby and worked 3 part-time jobs, exhausted, but I was too busy to realize how depressed I was. That would come later. I leave my tree (artificial) until Valentine's Day because I enjoy it. You tell your story well and hopefully no longer chase cars, LOL. An enjoyable story which I can relate well to~Debbie

Thank you Debbie. I appreciate the review and wonderful comments. I think you should write about that time in your life. Three jobs amd a baby sounds much worse than mine. I'm so glad you enjoyed this.

Hi, Beth. You have an excellent story going here. I don't know why you don't put it in book form and use chapters??

Your images are superb....like this"It was raining, and I had no umbrella. I stood under an awning on the far side of the parking lot and waited. Normally when I saw him, there would be plenty of time to make it to the locked car before he did. However because of the downpour, he came across the parking lot sprinting like he was competing in the Olympics. He jumped into the car and backed out quickly before I was half away across the lot. I made a mad dash, hair streaming, and gesturing wildly, but he didn't see me. Frustrated and soaked to the bone, I slunk back to the awning and waited for a city bus.

Great job...Bob

Thank you so much for the review and comment and a special thanks for all those lovely stars. I think I will combine it into a book at some point. So far, I think I have five chapters of this but some other's I've written about a little later years might work as well.

Entertaining account of hectic college and early marriage life.
The temporary solution of tree in closet was unique...my closets were already full...never enough storage space, and the stuff breeds like rabbits!

Enjoyable.

Thank you so much for the review and nice comments. I wouldn't be able to get a tree into any of my closets now but then, we had more space than we had things. I'm glad you found this entertaining and enjoyable.

Interesting to read and brutally honest accounting of the early days of your married life. It was easy to be drawn in to your writing and feel as though I were there watching these events take place. I didn't notice any errors. Loved the part about the Christmas tree.
Well done.

Good story about your early years. I've been married 42 years and know simple thing can bring us together with joy. I did hope to read that you did well on your class grades, though.

Suggestians:
At the time I didn't particular care (particularly care)

I had four paintings yet to do for Art courses I was taking. (were you taking more than one course in Art?

Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much for the review and nice comments. I appreciate you noticing the spag. I was taking at least two art classes at the time. I majored int art. I think I was taking Painting II and Watercolor at the time. I did fine in all my the classes despite the last minute panic. It is an ongoing story so I'll probably say more about that later.

Hi Beth
I enjoyed reading your tales of early married life. I like your style of writing, it is entertaining, realistic and honest, and you make each thing you write about easy to picture happening.
It sounds like you had a few challenges but lots of love too. :)

Thank you so much for the review and the nice comments. I'm glad you enjoyed this. Yes, without the support of a loving husband, I'm not sure how I would have survivied some of those challenges.

Great writing. I can imagine it all, very vividly.
Always good to read quirky humour. I realise it probably wasn't all funny at the time.
Thanks for the great read.

This piece tells about the roundabout routine, married couples go through, college education, getting a ride, insensitive co-workers, daily hustle and bustle of surviving, saving measures stretched to last for months, whew, how we even managed is a miracle. This piece echoed that, God bless and well done.

How long has your wife been chasing cars? Are you serious? Wow. I found this piece to be very motivational and inspiring. It also reminded me of some of my trying college days. :)
