I enjoyed reading your poem "Donegal Mountains". We took my mother (she was Irish) in 1996 and had a wonderful time. The scenery is beautiful and the people were wonderful to us. I wrote a poem about my mother and the Ireland trip titled "My Mother Ordered Guinness" and another about my daughter titled "Herself". In two years, my husband and I have a few milestones we are celebrated and our gift to each other is a trip back to Ireland.
Lovely poem. Makes me anxious for the trip.
Blessings

A refreshing write on the beauty of a mountain....beautiful descriptions with vivid imagery. The lines "he jagged granite rocks........and white sky up above"are wonderful.
The rhyme schene has been well maintained. An immensely good read.

You capture the stunning beauty of the range with crisp clarity. I feel the same about my favorite place- The Grand Tetons in Wyoming and the Beartooth range in Montana. What are the other six?

I absolutely love this poem. It brought the feelings from my childhood years back to me, and it brought a tear to my eye. You managed to capture the wild landscape of Donegal, from the mountains to the back-roads and rugged coast. Well done, and thank you.

'when morning sun floods the mountains after dawn'- that sound lovely. I've always wanted to visit Ireland, and your poem paints a beautiful picture of this land. great imagery with colors and sounds, as if we are walking this trail to see the magnificent views. Nicely done-

*last line 'a truly piece of heaven'-maybe 'a true piece of heaven'
