I take it this is a poem of a love you had long ago to be forgotten. Did she die or did you break up. Also is Vapid a word? Too lazy to get my dictionary...or are you using poetic justice here? Just curious. And I like the pick...very so the poem. Good job.

My wife of fourth years is my soul. I am posting a poem about her tonight.

My wife of 40 years is my soul. I am posting a poem tonight called "Partner For The Ages" which is devoted to her. I am listing poems that I don't necessarily like because I want all my poems in one place. I will print them out and put them in a binder for my grandkids. They should knowthe good and bad about grandpa.
