How succinct.Serenity is a state we all yearn for but don't often achieve. Nevertheless it is something to aspire towards. And if we are in doubt as to how it 'feels' this poem gives us a clear understanding 'Inner peace, tranquilluty'. And the calming simile at the end 'like a calm clear lake'. The pic encapsulates it all.

Great picture of serenity. This is a good 5-7-5 poem I am a fishermen and the happiest and quietest time have been sitting on a boat and watching the ripples of water flow in the tide.

A calm clear lake is the very picture if serenity as long as we don't stare into it, getting lost in the reflection. Good use of 5-7-5.

The author clearly followed the 5-7-5 rules for this poem, the three lines speak of what the picture tells, as it is, tells truth as it is, for the calm lake is really serene, it simply describes the artwork, like stressing what is obvious, but the poem deserved 5 star rating because it complied with the 5-7-5 syllable count.

Wonderful 5/7/5 write and the imagery here is awesome. The clear lake being the calming factor for serenity and inner peace.

My friend a really nice work to ponder. It brought with it the serenity you penned. Your syllables are spot on, also loved your artwork too.
Since I am at my cottage by the lake this seems perfect to me. Strong word choices, imagery soothing and pulls the whole piece together I think quite nicely.
