Wow! I'm going through the very thing you speak of in the poem. Every day feels bleak, and I lost me. I pray and try to chase the negative feelings from my being and I try to focus on brighter, happier tomorrows and even today. Hopefully we will soon see a brighter day, writing poetry helps.

Wow! I'm going through the very thing you speak of in the poem. Every day feels bleak, and I lost me. I pray and try to chase the negative feelings from my being and I try to focus on brighter, happier tomorrows and even today. Hopefully we will soon see a brighter day, writing poetry helps.

Depression is a tough thing to deal with. I have suffered with it for 10 years and it still blankets me on a daily basis/

And I will see light through the clouds
And the dawns of tomorrow
Will bring a brighter day
With smiles
And happiness
And I will awaken
And be me

Depression is rough to deal with. It comes accross inclouds of grey and makes good things look bad.

this is very well written, sholess jo, you did an excellent job writing this free verse poem about the hope that dispels the darkness so you can see the sun shining without the monsters in the clouds. everytime i see your name i am reminded of shoeless joe jackson.
