This wrtie got a chance to win. mark my word. usually my prediction comes true - call it uncanny.
The theme had universal appeal and told in a very tender and loving way and asking - can we change our mindset(?).

I've seen this picture so many times with the creative poems that have crossed my sight. You've added to this collection. I personally like the

Blue Planet filled with open scars,
Deprivation.
Our fish are full of mercury,
Resources are not luxury.
Need much more consideration!

I have reserved a spot, I will have to see what time I have. We move to England next week and then have lots of decorating and gardening to do. At our ages, it takes a little longer!! LOL xx

Good start at the octogram style in the first stanza, but in the second one instead of four counts you've got five on two of the lines. I figured you would go back and fix them...or else explain your choice in your author's notes, so I did not take off. It is otherwise a "creative" poem!

You are so correct about what we are doing to this planet!

If God ran the earth as though we were tenants and He was the landlord, we would have been evicted a long time ago!

And yet He gives us time to try and sort out what we've done the precious earth, but unlikely we will rise to the challenge, so He will soon step in and correct our error.
