Your tale shows how a small child can have an impact and bring two people back together. Excellent flow of dialog that is realistic and is believable between an adult and a child.

What a sweet story about the innocence of a child and that impacted the family's life. I enjoyed reading this. Your lines flow smoothly and the dialogue sounds just like that a young child would say. I like the ending very much. Who says children should be seen and not heard?
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan

This is absolutely sweet. I love the dialogue. It has true meaning. Love can conquer all if we leave our hearts open.
A great little story you have here. It happens a lot in this world.
Leave it to the children to mend the hurts we incur on each other.
This was very uplifting. Thanks.

Thank you, Marie. This was a repost from some time ago. I was reviewing some old stuff in my portfolio and remembered the fun I had in writing it. So glad you liked it.

I love your story, and wouldn't it be nice if all situations like this could be remedied so easily. Children can be so honest and I am sure split families are very hard on them. Hope you do well in the contest.

Hi Dennis, so good to see you sweet guy...
I guess it comes down to...no one is perfect...
we all make mistakes...you ask Jesus for forgiveness...
and if you are true...He will forgive you...

and remember when there are children present...
remember they get hurt too...and don't understand...

I love your story told....so very touching...and very well written...love Linda xxoo

This is, of course a very relatable story, albeit with a fairy-tale ending. I like the positive feel of love all around, instead of the usual recrimination. Well done.

Heartwarming--I'm a sucker for a happy ending. Adorable child and touching interaction between her and dad sounds real. Wish real-life wrapped up so simply!

A story told with dialogue only. I wish all separations could end this way. It's all so much easier when one or the other doesn't screw up (or around) in the first place. Forgiveness is difficult to live out, when something can not be forgotten. Your happy ending is encouraging for both forgiveness and hope. Well done.

Stats show if struggling marriages stay together for 5 years the relationship really does get better. Sometimes our unrealistic expectations have to be ditched with our own over blown self esteem.
Thanks for reviewing and sometimes children are "the ties that bind".

I think this lovely, brought tears. So many promising relationships end in separation or divorce, and why? Someone has made a terrible mistake, and it seems to be one that can't be forgiven, but if God can forgive us in Jesus, why can't we forgive each other, lovely story, Denis, good luck, blessings Roy
