First unclutter your soul. Then your house will follow. Much of what we keep around us is tied to our memories both good and bad. But when our souls are jumbled and confused, we often find it hard to decide which souvenirs of that past to keep and which to discard.

If only that were it! If you peak above the poem you'll notice it references a home business, which happens to belong to my hubby. LOL! Thanks for the stars! =)

LOL. Exactly how I feel. I started with giving books to the library, clothes to Goodwill. Clutter is right. Hubby hangs on to things. I want to simplify. Perfect count in this.
Nice assonance with much and clutter, does and one.

    Thank you so much! =)

(Everyone wants to hang on to things! I bought my daughter -- who is over 6' tall -- a queen size mattress set. She wants to keep the double for when she moves out to university in a couple of years. For some stupid reason, it is now in my living room! Aaaahhhhh!)

This made me laugh a great little poem, it looks like total chaos, but you know where everything is, some one tidies it up and you cannot find a thing.....

So often true! I know where MY stuff is! However, my hubby, who has the home business can almost never find HIS stuff! LOL!

    Thanks for the stars!

Well Done ~ Bev

It is that time of year; Spring cleaning. With very
few words, many readers can relate to this poetry.
The attached photo is a mirror that reflects the
message. Thank You for your creation.

How well I have known that feeling. And how often I've told my kids and grandkids to start in one little corner, not looking at the big picture just the corner. Pretty soon, it's done. Now I'm afraid I need to put this down and go do it. Thanks for reminding me! Honestly, a good writing.

LOL! Great advice! I always start in the kitchen, but so often when I get more time to work on the house, I have to start back in the kitchen again!

    Thank you.

LOL! Looks like my wife's work space, only much larger. She does crafts, so I have been assembling a bunch of small stackable cabinets that hold all her goodies. There's no end to the stuff! Good job for you first entry! Dennis

Thanks, Dennis! At the time that picture was taken, there were at least three computers set up in our dining room. We had up to four in there at one point. The business is my husband's and the mess has a life of its own. It grows when I'm not looking!

sounds familiar. where does it all come from. it's like the broken window syndrome, one broken window leads to another broken window. put one piece of paper down and more accumulate. nice three liner.

Haha! This would be a great thing to hang on some people's walls, right next to "Bless this mess." Where does one begin? How about beginning where you're standing, and don't stop until it's no longer a mess. :)

Funny poem.

Thank you! Funny ... until you've been living in it too long. Then you lay awake in the middle of the night writing a poem about it! ;)

Oh goodness. This is how I feel when my roommate or I haven't cleaned the apartment in a while. It's a perfect 5-7-5 and it all fits together perfectly. Keep up the great writing!

Thank you kindly! I am writing ... slowly. I'm working on a multi-generational story and have been at it for months. There is much research to do for the historical portion, though most of it may not ever be incorporated. It may yet be months down the road before I will start to post that.
