Then grow leather or feather wings to fly(?)
Or hard hooves on strong legs to gallop by?


I didn't see this one guy but it is great. Your wonderful use of verbiage here helps us to know what you were thinking.

Hi Treischel,

I loved this one - felt like I was walking along side you and the swamp. Great rhythm and rhyme. For me though the great part of this work was the ability to have me ponder those moments along with you.

I loved this line -

"Along a swampy path to search my soul, " // it let me walk with you and search my own soul...the silence of words and the listening of the land.

Thanks for sharing this one - I enjoyed reading it, great imagery and sense of beauty in the simple pleasures of taking a stroll.

really good short work which says a lot. how much impact do we have upon the natural wonders all about us. how much damage are we causing? how much can we do to make it better? how can we protect that which is here? so much for quiet and serene country walks. need some meditation??? :-) nice poem.
