I nearly foured you on this Tom - due to the line, 'Forgive their tormentors, Lord, for they know not what they do' I didn't because technically it is well written and besides, I like you :) even if I disagree with this. Why should they be forgiven? And how can anyone conclude and almost excuse them, with this. Of course they know what they do. They are simply of sick, twisted minds and have not use or place on this earth. Whether there is a Lord or not, whether He forgives or not, I believe compassion is wasted on this evil. Sorry if I have gone on a bit, but as you can tell, I feel passionately about this. best Indie xx

Thank you Indie, I know where you are coming from. I think they can be forgiven in heaven. I think they should get the death penalty here on earth.

This is excellent free verse. It has nontraditional structure and rhythm. It has good imagery and figurative language. It creates a mood of condemnation of the terrorists. Good work.

A vet emotional and heartfelt poem about the loss of lives and injuries in the latest tragedy in our country. You said it all in the lines of your poem. My heart goes out to all the victims in this Boston tragedy. Sararb

Treischel,

The poem is an outstanding overview of what happened in Boston this past Monday. It takes the worst kind of coward to strike out with bombs against unarmed and unsuspecting men, women, and children. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I feel the same.

You had to say this and am glad you said it. Such a said story. God's people don't not know what they do at times and this like others is one of them. The thought of death because of no concern, selfishness and self centeredness acts have always disgust my heart. Great work as usual.

Thank you Nicci. Yes, very senseless and heartbreaking for those personally involved.
