This black and red bleeding heart setting tells well the story of the hope for love, that as yet hasn't been found.Good rhyme and rhythm to your verses. A good read.

This is a very good poem, although it is very sad. Your rhyming and word flow are good and tell a story of one wanting love to last but it seems to continually slip away. Oh so sad but very realistic.

Love is a pain. So sayeth the poet. Heart and soul are scythed (ouch!) then sutured (I've had better days).
Yes, love is the achilles heel. Here today, and gone in 24 hours. LOL
Cheers,
DW

Cute on the author's notes. I was wondering if in line one stanza one you were looking for "careening" instead of "careering"? This is very well written and expresses emotions I have felt as well.

congratulations this is very well done, nice silky rhymes
and sweet metrical dances, engulfing a poem straight from the heart. i would have given it a six but ran out of stars this week. You will enjoy my latest poem "CURSE ON AN ADVERSE VIRUS". I find some affinity with your great poem, now lookin at your portfolio. john

Many readers can relate to this poetry; you are no alone.
A Lover of Love. The rhymes are not forced and I like the
way that the words are arranged on the page. It held my
interest from start to finish. Thank You for your
creation.
