Your poem is in the correct syllable count for the tanka, but
for a few reasons, the most noticeable being your use of rhyme, I would not label it a tanka
I like the rhyme, just not the label :-)

I liked this short acrostic and it's message. When mankind can find and grasp a truth not taught by men, but through an invisible truth hidden within, then will truth truly comfort the wild beast within, made up of what's not believed, then man's triumph over their own arrogance will be bested over all they have unfortunately learned from each other.

I liked this short acrostic and it's message. When mankind can find and grasp a truth not taught by men, but through an invisible truth hidden within, then will truth truly comfort the wild beast within, made up of what's not believed, then man's triumph over their own arrogance will be bested over all they have unfortunately learned from each other.
