The art work is interesting and
The Eagle will have its feed.
How huge this Eagle is.
The salmon try to escape
They had no chance to escape this Eagle.

That a gorgeous photograph. And such a lovely poem too. I thought eagles ate trout and bass. Salmon is for the bears. Well, nice work.

Nature is a fine thing to write about, this is about nature in the raw, just doing what he is supposed to do, feeding the family and himself..... great photo

As much as I admire the eagle, Kim, I think it would be fairer if the salmon had talons too and could fight back. :-)
Excellent vivid post. I wrote one called 'Eagle' once (in my portfolio), and it was lucky enough to win 'poem of the month' - not that I'm one to boast. Haha.
Cheers, Ray

It is an amazing sight though... and hey, as long as it isn't my poodle the eagle is after, I'm all for him taking his proper place in the food chain lol Whenever we go to the Kenai Peninsula in summer I keep Lily on her leash and a very close eye on the surroundings. My dad gave her to me as a birthday present the day we were leaving for our annual camping trip and one of our friends we were camping with nicknamed her, "Snack", because he was sure one of the eagles was going to take her away. She's in my lap, now 4 years later, so I'm happy to say that didn't happen lol Wonderful to hear from you, Ray.
*hugs*

Thanks for the fun and interesting story, Kim.
Hey, no self-respecting eagle would eat a poodle, as they're far too soft-looking (I hear eagles prefer rottwheillers for the challenge), so I'm sure Snack will be safe. LOL - just kidding. xx
