Catherine,
Enamored by
Her Heathcliff.
True love, a myth?
Ms. Bronte,
Who inspired you?
Date with Fate's tempest'ous muse.
This is very creative, I read this before, but it went over my head, but reading it now in a fresh mind, it's awesome. Loved the unique, creativity of this poem. short but sophisticated:)
great job
Good luck
Regards
Tia

Wuthering Heights is my favorite novel of all time so yes, I would LOVE to be able to sit with Emily Bronte and have a chat with her about it.
You have written an interesting and original Whitney with the correct syllable count and a subtle rhyme scheme. I also like your choice of picture which seems to embody Catherine somehow.
Thank you for entering and good luck in the contest.

I'd rather meet with her sister, Charlotte. Cathy was a little spoiled brat and Heathcliff was a ninny--but I do like your Whitney poem.

The art work here is very strong
I would be cautious being near her.
I don't think true love is a myth.
We are inspired by this great poet
To read the poem this poet has written.
I am sure many would have read
The poems of Miss Bronte.

Her poetry was as awesome as Wuthering Heights itself, one of my favorite books of all time. :) Thanks for the lovely review, honeytree.

'Wuthering Heights' is a good subject. Nice idea. Good poem.
There's a movie, "Career Girls" (not the best movie). They use the book for psychic prophecies on their sex life. One woman asks a question, "Ms Bronte will I get boinked soon?". And the other girl replies, by randomly opening the book and reading a passage.

That sounds very funny, Sunnilicious. I've never seen the movie, but what a random and fun idea. Thanks for the lovely review.

Wuthering Heights was one book we had to study during our college days. Loved that story very much for it had a positive end. Though I could not understand this poem correctly yet I appreciate your attempt in writing a poem on a novel. The syllable count is correct

I am sorry you couldn't seem to get the poem. Basically, imagine if you could have a conversation with Emily Bronte to discuss her writing process. The last line is her response to the question, "Who inspired you." That's it. Thanks for taking the time to review.

Hm. This is very interesting for I like Ms. Bronte's works too. I wonder what did inspire her! I surely would have like to talk to some of the authors I read. Nice Whitney. Miss Sally

Ah, the mysteries one wonders about among the poets like Emily Bronte. I suppose her lover was her muse. Interesting. Good luck to you in this contest. Jeanie Mercer

Don't we all glory in a romantic novel as we exalt in romantic music. Writers like Emile Bronte feed our passions. But the book you chose has a serious flaw. Heathcliff is a woman's impression of a man, writ large. No man would accept him as he is presented though to women he might be an icon. I don't know if Catherine was enoamoured by Heathcliff. Heathcliff was enamoured by Catherine and he never really knew her. -Ekim777
