I thought there was a reason for all those frowning people to be walking on their hands. Nice poem with extremes. I don't know how to answer your last question. However, I think balance can be found. Excellent work.

Treischel +I think that "Up and Down" was a reality check~ figuring in that we as humans aren't always happy... but being content with the sharing can work... questioning the usual.
"Can you really be up,when your down?"
"Maybe the answer's up in the sky."
Thank you for sharing. uncleJohn

This is a great poem. It gives the readers much food for thought.
How can we be up when everything is down.
Where do we find the inspiration and motivation to continue? Is this the end of the road? We cannot accurately gauge our own reactions to things anymore.
One minute we are sad, the next a happy news - we won first prize in the FanStory contest and then our pet cat died.
The feelings and the moods change depending on the events that await us unknowingly.
Good write but our of sixers as usual. A virtual seven! After reading the poem, how do the readers feel? Are they up or down? We never know.
Great write and makes the readers ponder, and wonder and let their minds wander, smiles!
Cheerio, Ritchie.

Clever. "can you really be up, when you're down?" Why not. I could be down often; however, I choose not to live my life that way. I'm always happy and feel that the sad will abate and not equate unhappiness. well written and enjoyable. Smiles always, with hugs, Robin :)

What a puzzle life is Mr. T and you have captured it well with your puzzling prose of the wonderment of wondering You even made the wizardly wizard of worldly words of wiz-dumb smile

Yes, if you can be redundant simultaneously at the same time.
This morning I woke up lying down, I might have screwed up
last night.
Nice job on this puzzle poem in rhymed quatrains.
Rich.

well well, the poem is an interesting read and a poser, which will appear differently to different readers according to their own state of mind. The puzzle rhymes well also and is quite recitable. I like id very much. Thanx for sharing.
