You have presented a nice poem about a legendary movie, we all know and love. Your words flow nicely and they capture the imagination in the very beginning. I just took two of my granddaughters to see the new Oz movie. We all loved it. Generationless! Not a word I know, but you know what I mean. Job well done!

This is superb poem. I like the form you chose which adds to the read perfectly. I thought you capture the Wizard of Oz perfectly. Your words are excellent and I love how you put a message of following your dreams in the end. Your author notes added to your presentation. This was a great write and I wish I had a six for you.

well what a wonderful wizard you are :) This is a fun read with a lovely last line, 'chase those dreams and go with the flow' - I think I will just do that myself :) best Indie

Most poetry that I have read is personal interest. This is a good example. This poem was good. You made the words flow smoothly so that the idea behind the poem was understood. I found no errors. Nice job, in my opinion.

Always with respect,

I am not going to challenge the form. First glance tells mme that you got it right:D. Commentary certainly, with just a hint of philosophy. I enjoyed it. Cheers- DJ

Very nice! I often become inspired to write from snippets found in movie lines as well! Not familiar with a Trijan Refrain, but based on what you have described, it appears to be spot on.

Although "Oz" scared my daughter to death, and to this day she cannot watch it, I have always counted it among my favorites;your poem is inspiring!

Thank you wrytergurl. Too bad your daughter got frightened. It's definitely a classic.

"The Great and Powerful Oz movie" had already opened here in Malaysia. The movie is not bad but I prefer "Beans, Jack the Giant Slayer" which had a more children story line with good action thrown in.
The poem did tell the Oz story quite well and in the Oz movie, a variant, of the original movie - there was a yellow road too, a flying monkey which you don't have here nor the hot air balloon.
The Trijan refrain is interesting and great job!
Cheerio and have a great Sunday and week, Ritchie.

Hollywood remade Oz. Glad you remember the original version. I do too. It's a great movie. But you'll see the new version and forget the classic.... Good thing you wrote this poem.

Wonderful poem. Well thought out. Nicely written in a narrative format. Excellent work.

Have fun at the movies!

Treischel,

Dorthy's dream and the Wizard of Oz is an interesting poem with excellent imagery. The words paint vivid mental images for the mind's eye to see. It is an interesting read.
