Carolyn this is so beautiful, me chick with the diamonds in her hair. I can only imagine the relief you must have felt after receiving some good news for a change. Your description is so apt it brought tear to my own eyes - you naughty, you.
Well done
You write with the hands of an angel
Cool bananas and warm regards

Ps - I cannot find your poem - Martini and what is the name of your featured poem?

New life was actually inspired by my sisters news, and dedicated to all cancer survivors. So far I have escaped the 'non respecter of person' C word. I'm not sure which poem you mean? My portfolio will show all post. Have a great day (or probably evening there in SA) :-) Carolyn

The last three lines say it all. Great format and and pacing in this thankful poem. Excellent word choice with the assonance of grate(ful) and stain.

What an uplifting message and reminder of hope! I have been a part of a moment like this with a loved one, and also, unfortunately, of one not like this subsequently. I can truly appreciate this and think it a lovely thing that you thought to write about it. I love the vertical structure of the write. Well suited to represent the tears of joy.
Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you Lena for such a wonderful review. Maybe one day our survivor list will be longer than our victims list. I'm glad you liked the poem. Carolyn

Your artwork and poem ring true for me. I am a survivor 2 times over. Two different types of cancer --once in 1963 and the other type in 1997. I am very blessed, living largely and loving to write. Thanks for posting and reminding me to be grateful, enjoy each day and say thanks to Him each day.

What a sweet write, Carolyn. It seems that if you're a "survivor" you're far more conscious or your own mortality than most people, AND far more grateful for life. Blessings for this lovely piece!

Very good Notes and certainly has more to say than ever thought. I wonder where it all goes to, eh? So wonderful.
