Virtual six, instead (I have no more left to give out) ! Congratulations on your win; you deserve it. I am going to bookcase this. It will help me learn more about how to write like this... Wonderful progression, rhythm and flow. Clever use of descriptive wording producing impressive imagery throughout. Once again congrats, Deb

This is undoubtedly a wonderful look at life and what can be accomplished when we conquer our fears. Well done my friend it was a thrill to read and fell as you do free to gaze upon the world with nothing holding you back now.

Should be a sixpack, but I am fresh out. Beautifully crafted and a well deserved contest win. The imagery is economic and always potent, with some excellent unforced allit. Bravo - DJ

Lovely, amada. A well-deserved win for this introspective piece. I understand that drive to cram in all that I can as I grow older. Time to root out any regrets. You had me walking and climbing right along with you, cheering you on.

Hi there
I was afraid for a moment I had no six star sets left, but it seems I have been allocated my next allotment! I am not giving you six stars because it won (deservedly so) the competition, but it is this kind of writing and subject matter that is so close to my own heart. I love reading it, I love the feel of nature as I too wander with you, and I love the GREAT ending! Well done. Well written and superbly descriptive. Marion.

I enjoyed this philosophical and poetic vignette, Amada.

It's a truly deserving winner in a field of excellent writing.

The words are vivid and powerful. I love the symbolism of the sea and the soaring hawk. Reminds me of the words of Christ, "unless one is born of water and spirit he cannot enter the kingdom of God"

So many perfect phrases - furtive dusty road ... the early wind nuzzles the naked trees ... folders of roaming pebbles ... serene grains of sand ... I could go on and on.

Something puzzles me, however. What happened to change the sturdy independence of the toddler, determined to explore to the fearful child? Maybe there's a story to be told. I hope so.

Congratulations again!

As you've already gotten y feedback on it privately, I'll just make this review a standing ovation to encourage you to write more vignettes like this! Love the closing with the hawk image.
